ABOUT REGINA BEACH GYM
Welcome to Regina Beach Gym. A 24/7, no-nonsense strength and fitness space tucked into the heart of Regina Beach, Saskatchewan. Whether you’re training to hit a new PR, to carry your groceries without dying, or just doing it to escape your family for an hour, this place is for you.
This gym was built with one goal:
To make strength training fun, approachable, and sustainable for real every day people.
In order to best do that, I like to keep things simple. That means:
No sign-up fees
No contracts
No motivational posters telling you that “pain is weakness leaving the body” (because, medically speaking, that’s just incorrect)
Just a solid space, full of good equipment, open whenever you need it. Whether that’s at 5 AM before work or 10 PM after your kid finally went to sleep.
ABOUT THE OWNER
Hey, I’m Derek, the owner, operator, trainer, web guy, janitor, and passive aggressive sign-maker behind RBG.
I’m a certified personal trainer (ISSA), Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach, and lifelong experimenter in the world of fitness. I work with clients in person and through hybrid training (a combination of online and in person), depending on availability. I keep spots limited so I can give people real attention, not just cookie-cutter programs. Plus there’s floors to mop and signs to make, and only so many hours in the day.
If you’re interested, reach out and I’ll let you know if I have a spot or if there’s a waitlist.
I’ve spent the better part of two decades dabbling in just about everything:
🥊 Boxing (for when you want to get dangerous)
🦶Muay Thai (for when you want to get dangerous but you’re also into feet)
🏋️♀️ Strongman (because picking up weird heavy stuff is fun)
💪 Hypertrophy Training (classic “get big” gym work)
⚖️ Fat Loss (yes, I’ve yo-yo’d too. Currently yo’ing right now)
🧠 General Strength and Longevity (because I’ve broken lots of things and had to fix them)
I’m not here to preach one perfect method or sell you on some one-size-fits-all plan. This gym is built for real people with shit to do. The kind of people who might be new to lifting, getting back into it after years away, or are just tired of being told there’s only one “right” way to be healthy.
I believe you can lift heavy and enjoy your life. You can train hard without burning out. And you can build strength without sacrificing your sanity (or pizza).
ABOUT THE SPACE
This place is for you if:
You want a no-pressure space to train
You’re curious about trying something new (without being judged for not knowing what the hell a trap bar is)
Whether you’re here to get stronger, move better, clear your head, or just get a little time to yourself, you’re welcome here.
